Peat baths are a type of hydrotherapy session that uses water for the purpose of healing. Peat baths also contain peat which consists of decomposed vegetable matter that is high in nutrients and minerals.

What to Expect

Peat baths involve full body submersion in the bath at therapeutic temperatures between 105 – 113 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately 15 – 20 minutes.

During this time the peat gently removes dead skin cells, enhances circulation and leaves the skin feeling soft and supple. Peat baths can help with improving range of motion, helping to relieve inflammation, promotes circulation, stimulates the immune system and can help break down fat cells.

The bath is followed by a 30-minute wool blanket and sheet wrap to stimulate a vigorous perspiration process to complete detoxification. A full treatment can last up to 1 to 1.5 hours.
